Digitizer Families
This is CAEN’s new family of modern digitizers, designed to enhance all the features of the current line-up while introducing new capabilities that significantly broaden their application range.
These digitizers combine a common firmware architecture with a new wave recording software offering enhanced functionalities, together with the OpenFPGA feature.
A further key advantage is the integration of a Linux-based embedded ARM processor, which allows a lightweight operating system to run directly on board. This makes it possible to automate specific functions locally, without the need for a dedicated DAQ PC permanently connected to the digitizer.
Overall, CAEN OpenFPGA Digitizers integrate programmable OpenFPGA, an embedded ARM processor, and major architectural upgrades, delivering improved performance and flexibility.
